Summary
Fresh fruit granita, a layered fruit ice that is loaded with flavor
Ingredients
4 cups fresh watermelon
1/3 cup lime juice
1/3 cup white sugar
4 cups water
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup lemon juice
zest of one lemon
4 cups blueberries
1/2 cup grape juice (or white grape juice)
1/3 cup sugar
Instructions
For each individual granita:
Add ingredients to a blender,
Blend until smooth.
Pour into a shallow pan (I used baking sheets, but you could use a 9x13 casserole dish)
Cover with foil
Put in freezer for 1 hour.
After an hour, use a fork to scrape the top of the granita to get individual ice crystals.
Return to freezer, freeze another 2 hours.
Scrape with fork again, and break it up into chunks.
Serve and enjoy!
