Ingredients
- Cake:
- • 2 cups all-purpose flour
- • 2 cups granulated sugar
- • 1/4 teaspoon salt
- • 1/2 cup buttermilk
- • 2 large eggs
- • 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
- • 1 teaspoon baking soda
- • 1/2 pound of real butter or 2 sticks.
- • 2/3 cup good quality cocoa powder
- • 1 cup of boiling water
- Frosting:
- • 1 and 3/4 stick real butter
- • 6 Tablespoons milk
- • 1 pound powdered sugar
- • Optional, 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts. I used pecans.
