    • 1 lb. asparagus
    • 1 teaspoon dried basil
    • salt & pepper (to taste)
    • 1 cup chicken broth
    • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
    • 1/4 cup heavy cream
    • shredded parmesan cheese as garnish (optional)
