    • 3 bay leaves
    • 3 sprigs fresh thyme
    • 4 cups low sodium chicken broth
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 pound smoked turkey sausage, sliced about 1/2 inch in thickness
    • Hot sauce, kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
