    • 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
    • 3 ribs celery, finely chopped
    • 2 potatoes, peeled and diced
    • 1 sprig rosemary
    • 1 cup half-and-half
    • 1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
    • 2 tablespoons cornstarch, plus extra if needed
    • 3/4 tablespoons fresh thyme, minced
    • 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley
    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1 teaspoon dried basil
    • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
