    Sweet and salty brittle gets a fun twist here with delicate Persian flavors like rose water, saffron and it’s loaded with almonds and pistachios. Adapted from Bon Appetit’s Saffron Brittle.

    Ingredients

    • 1/8 tsp finely ground saffron threads
    • 1 tbsp rose water
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
    • 3 tbsp honey
    • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
    • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
    • 1 tsp kosher salt
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
    • 1 tbsp coarsely ground dried rose petals
    • 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
