    Bearnaise Sauce from Confections of a Foodie Bride

    Ingredients

    • 2 steaks (your favorite cut - I like to use filet, porterhouse or boneless ribeye)
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • Salt & pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/2 pound asparagus
    • 1/2 pound crab meat (or immitation Krab)
    • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
    • 1/4 cup dry white wine {I use Sauvignon Blanc}
    • 1 large shallot, peeled and finely chopped
    • 3 egg yolks
    • 1/2 cup butter, cut into small pieces – keep cold!
    • Juice of 1/2 lemon
