    A non-traditional take on traditional hot cross buns, which involves muffins and bread instead of buns and cashew cream for the crosses. The result is a much healthier version of the Easter delight!

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups whole wheat spelt flour
    • 1 cup gluten free flour
    • 1/2 cup teff flour
    • 1/2 cup large flake oats
    • 3/4 cup desiccated coconut
    • 3/4 cup coconut sugar
    • 1 tbsp cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
    • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1 banana mashed
    • 2 tbsp maple syrup
    • 2 1/2 cup coconut milk
    • 1/2 cup cashews
    • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
    • 5 tbsp maple syrup (taste and add more if necessary for your desired sweetness)
    • 1 can coconut cream
