    Ingredients

    • 2 TBSPs butter
    • 1 lb bone in chicken breasts
    • 3 celery stalks diced
    • 2 medium carrots peeled and sliced
    • 1/2 a yellow onion diced
    • 1/2 TBSP dried thyme
    • 1/2 TBSP dried basil
    • 2 cloves garlic minced
    • 2 bay leaves
    • 1/2 to 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • 8 cups chicken stock
    • frozen egg noodles see note
