    • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
    • 1 jumbo onion, thinly sliced
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • pinch red pepper flakes (or more if you want, like me)
    • 1 box (16 oz.) whole wheat spaghetti
    • 1 12 oz. bottle of beer (I used a leftover cheap beer and it still tasted good!)
