    • 1 bay leaf
    • ½ tsp hing or Asafoedita
    • ½ tsp cumin seeds
    • 2 tsp cumin powder or paste
    • 2 tsp ginger powder or paste
    • 2 tsp red chili powder or paste
    • ½ tsp sugar
    • ½ tsp turmeric powder
    • salt according to taste
    • 1 tsp garam masala powder or paste
    • 2 tsp ghee or petrified butter
