    Ingredients

    • ½ cup buttermilk
    • 2 whole eggs
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 2 tsp vanilla
    • 1 tsp instant coffee crystals; dissolved in ½ tbsp hot water
    • 1-1/2 stick (0.75 cups) butter
    • 1 pound powdered sugar
    • 2 tsp almond extract
    • 1 tbsp ground almonds (optional)
    • 3.5 tbsp heavy cream (or more for desired consistency)
