    Ingredients

    • 1.5 cups chana or 3 cups soaked chana/ chickpeas
    • 1.5 cups water
    • Pinch of soda
    • 2 tbsp oil or as needed
    • 1 heaped cup thinly sliced onions
    • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
    • ½ cup chopped onions
    • 1 green chili
    • 1 ¼ tsp garam masala (I used punjabi garam masala)
    • ½ tsp chili powder
    • ? tsp turmeric/ haldi
    • Salt as needed
    • ¼ tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
    • 2 generous pinch of amchur (dried mango powder)
