    Aloo bonda is an instant evening snack. It can be converted into a healthy snack by cooking it in appam pan with few drops of oil instead of deep-frying. I often make it this way. Just serve it with chutney of your choice or with tea as an easy evening snack.

    Ingredients

    • Ingredients for:Aloo Bonda Recipe
    • For stuffing:
    • 6 large potatoes, boiled and refrigerated
    • 1 tbsp oil
    • 1 tsp mustard seeds (raie)
    • 1 tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
    • 1 tsp whole coriander seeds (sabut dhania)
    • 1 and ½ tsp red chili powder (for less hot keep upto 1 tsp)
    • ½ tsp garam masala powder
    • ½ tsp black pepper (kali mirch) powder
    • 1 and ½ tsp dry pomegranate seeds (anaardana) powder (If you don’t want aloo bonda too tangy, use only 1 tsp)
    • Salt to taste
    • For gram flour batter:
    • ¾ cup gram flour (besan)
    • Water as much required
    • 1 tbsp rice flour
    • ¼ tsp fruit salt
    • Salt to taste
    • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
    • For aloo bonda
    • Oil for frying
