    Buttery, flaky biscuits with mouth-wateringly good chicken like Chick-fil-a but made completely from scratch and without any ingredients you don't want

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb chicken
    • 3/4 cup milk 2% or plain non-dairy
    • 1/4 cup pickle juice
    • 1/3 cup avocado or peanut oil
    • 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour or white whole wheat flour
    • 1 TBSP powdered sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • 1/2 tsp paprika
    • 1/2 tsp salt-free all purpose spice
    • 1 TBSP white vinegar or lemon juice
    • scant 1 cup milk 2% or plain non-dairy
    • 1-1/8 cup whole wheat pastry flour
    • 1 cup unbleached all purpose flour
    • 1 TBSP baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/2 cup cold butter cut into pieces {reserve 1 tsp for brushing on top of biscuits}
